Sorry I haven't gotten to you. I will take some picks of the setup in my car tonight. I have just been kind of busy with other projects. I started out with the FD settings though. It works but not that great then I had to experiment slowly and I got to different settings.

Here is the best shot I could get.

enrique 01-12-04 07:53 PM

thanks. I can make out the settings but what about the car type?

1987RX7guy 01-12-04 07:58 PM

Car type IIRC is "4" I will check right now bbl.

loofeeTurboII 01-12-04 08:32 PM

hey, is it 4!!! somebody told me it was 5!!! good thing it's not in my car yet.. have u dyno ur car with it yet..to see if it works!!??

1987RX7guy 01-12-04 09:29 PM

It IS indeed 4. I haven't tuned it yet but it drives perfect after I traced the problem I was having before I installed it. Other than that I have only done a little enrichment to do a flame show around town but I only do that when I have extra gass money.

If you can see these well enough Rotor #1's plugs are noticably darker than Rotor #2's plugs. And both are really rich. :/

loofeeTurboII 01-12-04 10:18 PM

was that plugs B4 the install or after!!! cos my car is runing rich as well.( not that bad but, yeah)
and the wire connection to the ECU is it the same as shown in 1300cc.com ( for 2nd gen AFC)??

1987RX7guy 01-12-04 10:23 PM

sorry I messed up that post. my bad. lol that was refering to my TII's plugs which is smoking a hell of a lot.

Allright, I've gone and bouthgt enrique's S-AFC and I did not buy a manual with it, so I'm wondering if anyone knows what color wire goes where (that would help)

Also, to Santiago: That type select/Car Select, will it be different with my S5 N/A?

Tofuball 03-18-04 12:31 AM

While searching, I found

https://www.rx7club.com/showthread.p...First+Gen+SAFC

With a good pic on what in the world the wire colors ment. :)

Where's the bitch boosted1205 - go bug him with a PM. :)
Report back your findings, because I need to write this up on my website also. :)

apexi still has the manual for download.

Tofuball 03-18-04 10:30 AM

The one on the APEXi site seemed to only cover the newer versions.

There is no account for a blue wire. Perhaps I'm looking in the wrong place?

Tofuball 03-18-04 10:32 AM

Bam I suck :-p

THAT is the first gen manual. That solves the first part of my problem at least. Picture time!!

The big problem I have now, is where do you find the settings for the rear? I know Santiago posted a picture of his, but where did he find those? What car are they for? An S4 TII? My car is an S5 NA, I have no clue what to set that to!
