Finally got pics

I've had this car for 3 years, a total mess when i got it, my initial goal was too rebuilt it to its stock specs. Its a 88 NA automatic, yeah i know it sucks, but 7's are pretty hard too find in Canada as it is. I picked it up at a repo auction for $1600 CDN. It came with 3 siezed calipers and a busted U-joint. A couble days in the shop and no lookin back after that.

I've made some minor mods:
- removed all 3 cats, and replaced them with 1 high flow
- upped piping too 2.5"
- K&N cone filter, in the process of making an air box
- tokico springs and struts all around
- replaced every suspension part up front except control arms and sway bar
- just purchased the energy suspension master bushing kit and plan on replacing all of them when i get some time. (should have done them when i had it all apart the first time haha)

In the years of having my 7 i've sorta diverted from wanting too keep it stock and plan on a 5 lug conversion to throw on some bigger calipers. I'm also looking for a Eaton M90 to go that route. Is that such a wise idea with an automatic?

not to bad looking hey tweak do you know anything about a auto n/a to tII tranny swap i am going to do this soon and need some help

SonicRaT 06-14-04 07:40 AM

It's the same (generally) as any other 5sp swap, the tranny's just a little heavier and the wiring is different for the reverse/5th gear/neutral switches

i know that part but im not sure on mostly the engine to tranny bolt up and not sure about what flywheel and all to use

Use the tII flywheel per series of the engine, it'll bolt up just fine to the block. tII clutch as well, as well as a tII(or use your auto) starter. Also need a tII slave cylinder. That should be about it.
