What are the specs on wheel spacers for a 87 rx7 with 3rd Gen Rims:scratch:

10mm spacers in the front is all you need assuming your using stock suspension.

im trying 2 do the same thing will it give u enough clearance
i own a 88

10mm is all you need, but 20mm makes the wheel flush with the fender :)

10mm all around? or just the front? and if so how about 20mm front 10mm rear?

You dont need any on the back, they will fit right in there. You only need spacers for the front. But the ratio you are using is about right to make em evenish.

25mm max for both or you have to roll/pull your fenders.

if they have no spacer on the rear will they still be flush

I really dont see how 10mm spacers in the front are going to work. I had 20mm spacers on the front of my car and the tire was about 5mm from the strut.

Hecubus, whats ur camber at?

My strut mounts are stock and not adjustable. That said, I just got an alignment a couple of weeks ago and the front camber is set a 0.0.

it also depends on what size tires you have on the rear, 15mm that sells on ebay was able to clear the rear with 255 60 drag radial tires.

My setup was 20mm with 225/50s in the front and 25mm with 245/50s in the rear. The driver's front rubbed the fender and the passenger's rear rubbed as well. Dropping down to 225s in the rear solved the rubbing issue there but going down 205/55 in the front still rubbed. Running 10mm spacers would have moved my tire from rubbing the fender and pushed it into my shock. Since I didn't really want to buy a set of coilovers and another set of spacers I scrapped the project and bought a set of S5 TII wheels.

hecubus, that's what my fronts look like with 30mm

WoW :scratch: why are ever body's set up different? the size of tires im gonna go with are 225-50s maybe 205s on the front , i was thinking

That will work just fine. I recommend getting some hub spacers made as well so that vibration will be minimalized.

















oh great..... i think i just set off this thread to be five times longer than it needs to be.....Forget i said anything about vibration.

This is my 2nd car with 3rd gen wheels on it. If you do not use spacers in the rear, the wheels sit too far in. Yes they fit. They look really stupid though. The offset is wrong. The fronts need a minimum of 20 mm when using 225/50/16 tires. You may get away with a thinner spacer with narrower tires though. It's the tires and not the rims that hit the springs. I have had 4 different sets of tires on these rims and they have all had the exact same requirements.

I did have to roll my front fender lips. They are rolled under and slightly pulled out. You can't tell by looking at it. It's easy. I used the "baseball bat" method. Works like a charm. I have 25mm spacers all around.
