FD turbo onto FC motor?

Possible? What happens? I'm excited... I might even throw one on my n/a haha

Won't fit over the TII lower intake.

And if it did, why? Without the control system to make them sequential, a properly sized single is a better choice. And the reliability of the FD twins is...dubious at best.

roc11111 11-25-08 04:40 PM

I'll have to agree on this one.

That's becuase there's alot more involved in trouble shooting the system than most 3rd gen owners are aware of. There are upgrades available for the twins that allow 20+ PSI of boost and full boost response by ~2000. Show me a single that can do that

RETed 11-25-08 05:18 PM

Damn newbs...

Roen 11-25-08 05:42 PM

Single's are "better" because they are less complicated to install by the rotary novice.

2ndGen.rocket 11-25-08 06:30 PM

No.

Contact NASA I think they can get it working well. Them or the original Mazda engineers. Everyone else will have some headaches getting it to work.

20 lbs out of those tiny things? Just how far out of their efficiency range are they and how hot is the air?

you could probably cook eggs and dry your hands at the same time at 20psi on the fd twins.

lol....Sure ,just throw on something like a ~0.5 a/r hotside on your typical T04.I'll probably have the same amount of backpressure as those seq. running twins also :D

Can that rockstar Motec you have do neg. split? That will spool a single much faster but playing with that can be a dangerous thing with a turbo rotary.

turbo-111 11-25-08 10:07 PM

WOW !!!
what is it with guys named marshall and owning rx7's ? im mean our the third ive heard of including myself

psychotic7 11-25-08 10:54 PM

uuummm....NO!!! they came with a single for a reason, leave it that way. if ya want twins get a FD, 300ZX, or Supra. If youre not happy with a single then GTF outta here, hehe jk

RacerXtreme7 11-25-08 11:08 PM

I work at NASA, the answer is NO, stupid idea, waste of time and money, no more power then a single with more complex, time, money, heat, etc etc NEWB. SEARCH, LOCK THE THREAD, KILL THE NEWBIE!! DIE DIE DIE!

Rotary novices shouldn't be playing with turbo's. End of story.

Do you have any idea how much backpressure those twins make?

Didn't think so - seriously, shut the up fuck if you don't know any facts. I have an EMAP, I'll tell you exactely how much backpressure at what boost level in which mode. You know nothing - go away

That rockstar Motec can do everything that I have thought that could possibly be needed to run my setup. Should I ask one of the mods to turn your user name font Green?

dawicka2 11-26-08 01:20 AM

damn. what does green username font signify?

So tell us the backpressure no.s then. Maybe you can post the data when or if you get the car to run, right?

Green font? and the reason would be what :asshole:? Hey that's green font,Get lost :D
