FD Throttle Body and Intake Adapter?

Soul Assassin is running an FD throttle body and intake on his FC.
I know there is someplace (hopefully in the US) that makes the adapter plate for this modification.
Anybody know where?

modified S4 throttle body

to get the piping for a FMIC as smooth as possible, my local rotary mechanic modified the stock throttle body by covering/welding over the inlet hole, putting the sensor where it used to be, and putting a new inlet opening at right angles to return IC piping, rather than facing kinda backwards where it used to be, so i only needed one 90degree mandrel bend to finish the plumbing off.

cost $150AU. figured it was worth it for the better IC flow.
even tho big FMIC's chill air better, i DID like how short the plumbing was on the stock top-mount item (or the Interwarmer as my mechanic refers to it as). i've had to get about 2.5 metres of 2.5" stainless steel pipe to plumb in my FMIC.....just a *tad* longer than the stock item's piping.

i'll get some pix of the modded throttle body if u like....

later,
fenrir.

well we aren't just changing over to the fd manifold for ic piping, but for better flow. fd manifold gives more flow. also the tb we can just get a greddy elbow for 115 and we are set for making the piping easy.

I don't get it. What are you guys doing? Are you trying to use the FC lower intake manifold, the FD upper intake manifold and an FC throttle body?

I'm replacing the FC upper intake on my car with an FD unit and an FD throttle body and TPS. Just curious what your plans were...

RX-7 GT 11-06-01 10:49 AM

yes, where using the whole fd setup. and matching it up with the fc lower manifold.

cbrock 11-06-01 10:55 AM

can you use the FD throttle body with a stock computer? What other mods are involved when making this switch?

RXTASY1 11-06-01 10:59 AM

I guess I did miss it!:mspank:
That reminded me. I will have to relocate my battery so I can run my FMIC piping.

RX-7 GT 11-06-01 11:05 AM

im going haltech, so im doing away with alot of stock shit. im doing it for the following reasons:

-flows better
-makes ic piping a breeze
-looks better:D
