Maybe look for replacement belts used . Fd are a totally different setup I bet

Define "excellent" in this context.

FD belts are conceptually identical to the stock FC setup but not a direct bolt in proposition.
Even if you managed to get them installed (the retractor reel assembly being the biggest problem, albeit one that could possibly be solved), they would look/feel/perform exactly like the FC belts, so what's the point?

Have you no belts at all, are they present but shabby looking or are you wanting better restraint altogether?

So, what does "excellent" mean to you?

Clokker, FD belts could be a good solution for black interior swaps.

Maybe, maybe not.
The crux of the matter is the mount of the inertia reel. As I recall, the FC bracket is quite model specific and quite convoluted as well. In other words, it wasn't just a flat plate with some mounting holes. Now, how the reel is attached to the bracket makes all the difference...if the reel is removeable, you might have a shot of getting the FD reel to go back on. If the bracket and reel are welded/otherwise permanently affixed, you're kinda hosed.

Be aware that the reel has to be mounted in exactly the same orientation as it was originally in the FD or the inertial lock will go crazy.

You'll probably need the FD receivers as well.

All this blather gives you some idea of what such a swap might entail in a S4, but that car already comes with manual belts...the S5 would require a lot more work, since you first have to remove all the mousetrack bushwa.
Which takes a surprising amount of time.
