FD injectors in my FC
 

hey... i have a buddy with an FD that he just dumped a shit load into and i was wondering if i could put his old 550cc and 720cc injectors in my 10th AE. im tryin to hit the 300hp mark with those injectors, s-afc2,3in free flow exhaust, intake, msd, boost con.,255 fuel pump, but keep everythin else stock for now, till it blowes then alot of money is goin into it, cause he's pushin 350whp and i want to pass him like a fuckin civic with its breaks locked up let me kno what you think on my plan..

You can't replace FC top-feed injectors with FD side-feed injectors. They're not even close.

Where'd you get "720" from?
Stock FD injectors are 550 primary and 850 secondary.
Like NZConvertible said - they are not compatible.

well dont replace them untill you get to that 250 300 range because the stock FC injectors are plenty for up to around 250 then you should increase them becaseu you dont want to over cycle them.

well that sucks i guess ill just have to buy new ones cause i have a hot start prob and it floods so easy anyways thanks for you input

You don't need to replace them, just have them professionally cleaned. Note that low compression also causes hot-start problems.

yeah you pretty much never will have to replace them unless you go crazy with your AF tunign and super cycle your injectors. The stock ones will produce a pretty good mix with what you have. Id probably only go up just alittle on the secondary injectors and leave the primarys alone. what is your ECU max duty cycle set at? have you tweaked that? if not crank it up a little bit. you can work thoes injectors to about 80 and stock there running like 56 give or take

he is just rambling, unless you have an SAFC or standalone you can't adjust your injector duty cycle. in other words tricking the ECU by changing the AFM inputs with say an SAFC then you are upping/lowering duty cycle to add more or take away fuel. standalone engine management systems have complete control over the injector duty cycle so you can keep an eye on it, with an SAFC you can only guess how far the injectors are being pushed.
