...figures.

I can't believe people whine all day about gas prices but it doesn't both them a bit to spend a stupid amount of money on a headlight cover with a slot in it...

You only have to buy the headlight cover once though, and you also don't have to even drive to car to get the desired effect!

fcfanatic 09-05-05 11:31 PM

Functional and...

I would assume it would be for the intake. How is it supposed to work when the light is up. Why not just remove the ftp on the right side, I would assume it would have the same purpose in mind. It is a cool design though.

There is no directed path behind the headlight assembly. You'd have to do cutting and drilling to even make a path. There is no way that headlight cover has full functionality. They're a waste of perfectly good money.

fcfanatic 09-05-05 11:35 PM

Seems like a waste to me as well. Which is why I don't have one. :bigthumb:

Madrx7racer 09-06-05 12:00 AM

Wicked Rotary took my stock head light cover and turned it into this. It took him less than an hour to make and to my specific design. Good thing is I didnt pay anything, just traded my n/a steel hood. :) Its cool now, scoop on the hood and scoop on the headlight. I dropped like..2 degrees difference at most on highway driving. Its not that function. Of course my air filter isn't behind the head light or a box around it.

He'll make yours for 75$ as well, your own specifications, but the cutting of the head light frame is all yours.

fd3s777 09-06-05 01:04 AM

Humm... Sorry my mistake. It is not functional... Fuctional for appearance. hehehe... They really do make your FC look nice tho. Price is $89 plus shipping.

Taka87 09-06-05 01:08 AM

In my opinion they look ugly. alll of those vented headlight cover, not just this one in praticular.

Yeah, that's true enough but if you get the Apexi intake it allows air flow from the front and the side. Also, having the air filter mounted directly behind the headlight and allowing more air to go into it should make some difference. How about this, dyno the car with the headlight cover and without it to see if it makes a difference.

CyborgRyu 09-06-05 01:11 AM

whats the dyno gonna do unless you have something air blowing into the duct.
