It works if you stay under 30 MPH.

Patent? HAH!

I think you should talk to a lawyer. That shit is dangerous and it was outlinded in the past thread you made.

Patent... BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!! TALK ABOUT BEING FUCKING REDICULOUS!!!!!!! :rlaugh:

So many people in Japan have been doing it for years, idiot!! It's a poor man's vented hood. I think a lot of people are doing it over here as well, since people are always trying to get that JDM look. I hear that it's not really effective though.

Templeswain 01-06-04 04:46 PM

Why wouldn't you just cut ventholes in the fire wall instead of lifting the hood like that?

Chill out.

The guy is just trying to make improvements and he's starting with Ideas. Not one novel concept was ever acquired without failure and stupidity. About as stupid as the idea I had to put a belt driven fan on my intake. After reading about superchargers, it was conclusively rediculous. But I learned more.

Thomas Edison came up with the light bulb. When asked if he regretted wasting his time testing over 1000 materials before using tungsten to make his idea work,
He replied, No, I know 1000 things that don't work.

welp, 999 things to go..
jk. still though, they say people have been doin it for years, so why patent it? no one will be fined for doing it. just make the kit and sell it with no warranty or promises and everything else to save your ass if *your* kit has any negative affect at any time.

He obviously didn't see the previous thread from last week which was Closed due to the fact that it can kill you.

I have seen it done on many drift cars but I wouldn't do it to the huge extend that it goes above the stock firewall line. I saw a 240 with it but it was only a centimeter higher than stock so it stayed more in the firewall line while removing a bit of air.

It is also argued that it is in a high pressure area and will actually suck air into the engine bay instead of alleviating it.
