i was just wondering if any of u guys have brembro big brake kit on ur fc. also do brembro make big brake kit for the fc3s? just wondering

Your statement contradicts itself.

Some have modified evo's Brembo brakes to work.

If you have a non-turbo you could upgrade to 4 piston turbo brakes.
IRC Endless offers a "big brake kit".

Dont think brembo invested in a kit for the fc

Not many people here are hardcore enough to get a bbk, and often will tell you stock turbo brakes are good with pads/rotors/fluid/lines.

Your best source for a bbk would probably be something towards import tuning, liek the rotoras, d2, ksports, though not sure im a fan of those brands.

i think someone did a lancer evolution brembo brake conversion here on RX7club... on top of that, it may have been done on a FD, and not a FC. let me get back to you on that

yeah as much as people want to think the t2 brake setup is inadequate it is actually very good from the factory. Chances are you are not pushing it hard enough to need it anyway.

You can't fit enough tire up front to warrant huge brakes anyway. I think you can get what 255s up there before it starts interfering with suspension and steering components. Someone correct me on this one.

well it seemed like kind of a newb question considering a 2 second google search would reveal whether or not brembo has a kit for the fc. such a newb question that i thought the OP probably thought that brembo was the only manufacturer of BBK's so i thought id link him to a different maker of a kit in case he didn't know

Endless is the only kit i have seen and they are like $4 fucking thousand dollars. many people just look for the Evo IX brakes and modify them to work, can find a whole set for about $500 including semi worn rotors.

Brembo makes a kit, Endless makes a kit, you can use EVO brakes, you can use R33 GTS-T brakes with FD or JZA80 rotors, there are a few options.

I believe Stoptech, or Racing Brake might have one too.

is there any difference between the non turbo 5 lug s4's and the s4 turbo II 5 lug brake rotors? you can buy the ebay kit for 199 shipped comes with front and rear drilled and slotted brake rotors and pads...ive seen people get alot of life out of these kits with no problems...

different rotors doesn't make it a big brake kit, what you see on ebay is probably just drilled/slotted stock size rotors.

It's already been proven, drilled/slotted rotors are a waste and just kill your pads faster on street cars. Track cars that see heavy braking constantly are the only vehicles that take advantage of the extra cooling features.

RX7Boy06 is not the OP. Yes their is a difference, the TII rotors are vented, the n/a ones are not except for the GXL and the rare GTUs.

Has anyone used EVO kit. Everytime I see a set of Evo calipers they are !!cooked!!

I dont like to debate however:

TII brakes are great on a STOCK TII (when new and fresh i.e. pads, rotors, fluid, & yes good shocks) but almost 20 years down the pipe on original equipment with more Hp and you guys wonder why they cant stop.

I chose to spread the money around on my 7 rather than just drop 2-3k on big brakes kit I re-did the brakes system and support systems. I was looking for overall benefit of a complete overhaul.

I didn't expect it to stop like a Porsche, but I did expect to stop better than the car did factory new. The only thing I have not worked on yet is ducting


1. Rebuilt the factory TII callipers & rear (Mazda seals $35.00)
2. KVR drilled rotors $500
3. Hawk HP plus pads ($65x2 speacial order pep boys of all places)
4. DOT approved SS lines $80
5. Motual Brake Fluid $10 (per bottle x2)
6. New Master Cylinder $100 Mazda
5. New Tockico blues / Ground Control coil overs $600


So I spent $1500 but I killed two birds with one stone. Is it going to stop like BB brembos probably not. Will I have enough brakes to stop hard repeatedly so far yes...

1. My car stops great
2. Handles Great (and looks great lowered)

I had an extensive conversation with Daryl there via email back in November. They have options of rotor sizes and types (1 piece, 2 piece, slotted or whatever) and their prices seem good and they seem willing to make semi-custom setups. I was this close to buying but the economy stinks and I ended up not getting my expected bonus, so motorsports parts are on hold at the moment.

Drilled rotors are junk, they are for show cars. If you use them on the track they WILL crack, and their original purpose (venting gas) is no longer needed on modern pads that have been properly bedded.

that looks like a nice kit, and great price..but it says the rotors are 323mm which is about 12.7 inches...cant remember what the stock ones are but i thought they were close to that.. EDIT* the stock rotors are 10.9 inches so these are quite larger

Not into debating, this forum is a huge pissing contest.

Wilwood calipers are flimsy; don’t any of you wonder why they are so cheap. Jegs sells Wilwood Calipers for about 125 each. If your going cheap dont pay alot for it.

1. no dust seals around pistons (constant rebuilds to keep functional)
2. notable caliper flex
