FC3S bixenon retrofit

If you are looking for a brigher and better looking lights than stock u have couple of choices.Ebay diamon cut is pre bright and cheap or best one i have right now is hella h4 conversion headlights with white silverlight bulbs. They give really nice light output and u have a really nice cut close to projector.
H4 conversion headlights with plug and play hid kit is a another option that i wont recoment. They is lots of glare doent matter what headlight you use.
Best option is the retrofit. which getting projectors from cars that have xenon projectors with cutof plate whis gives you the brightest and cleanses look.
what i used
FX bixenon clear projectors
50 watts 6000 k ds2 kit
ebay black projectos housing (i got the cheapest one and its glass not plastic!!)
2 perma poxy stick
black spray paint
this is what i got from ebay, its got a glass which is pre good lol projector in the middle is just a bent glass

Where did you find 6000K D2S bulbs? Are you hooking up the motor for the bixenon? How will you wire that?

I am going to test my cut off tonight but I ended up leaving it silver inside for now.

Cool man. I got some actual Osram Sylvania 4300K D2S with the AMP connectors when I got the TSX projectors.
Attachment 720966

I really like the way yours came out though, I want to see the difference between the highs and lows. I'm losing out on my high beam with the TSX units....

h_block88 02-12-09 10:41 PM

Why dont u try to put a driving light in side your bumper lens? i was at pepboy yesterday and i was a driving light that was really skinny and long right size to fit it there.I am still going to do that after this is done
Its been more than a week and i am still waiting for my hid kit to finish this

no its only to use for high beam if u dont wanna lose ur high beam

NJGreenBudd 02-13-09 01:08 AM

these are going to put out more light than little driving light stuffed behind the ftp anyways. I still might due fog lights but I have to find just the right lamps.

Stock lamps work just fine. I used 3000k's to get the JSpec yellow effect, not to mention yellow is functionally better in fog. Just drill out the centers of the stock fogs bulb mount with a hole saw, and you're good.

Also, I installed PIAA driving lamps with 6000k HID into the grill work. Wired so they go on automatically with the high beams to create essentially a 4 bulb headlight set up.

njgreen- how long ago did you buy those tsx projectors? why not the minis?

JWteknix 04-06-11 07:04 AM

I'm assuming they don't because he typed this:

I don't know if you can decipher that gibberish any better than I can.

I just figured he half-assed this project like he half-assed his Elementary School English classes.

JWteknix 04-06-11 10:43 AM

lol thats the gibber I was talking about... an awful lot of nice work, its a shame.. should have thought about the fitment prior

Rob, at the time the Morimoto Mini projectors didn't exist. Just as a tip for anyone looking to retrofit, the glass lenses on the H4 housings actually cause a loss in sharpness of the cutoff over the plastic
