FC wont start, Please help

This is not what I wanted my first post to be like, but my car wont start and im desperate.
So here's what im dealing with. The car is an 89 S5 FC GXL it has 160,000 on the odometer and it ran fine up untill this morning. No modifications on the engine except for a K&N dropin filter. I've been keeping good maintenance on the car so here's what I know is not broken: Spark plugs have been replaced within the last half year and so was the fuel filter along with oil changes every 3000 miles.
Symptoms:
The engine turnes over but does not start, the tachometer bounces when im running the starter. I put a timing light on all four wires and they were all firing.
I have no idea how to troubleshoot the fuel supply components. The FSM thinks I have a bunch of pressure gauges but I dont. PLEASE HELP.

Have you checked out the FAQ on the top of this 2nd Gen Forum?
There are plenty of tips. You can also use the search button :)
This is a common problem with redundant answers/solutions.
Just remember Fuel/Spark/compression.

Everyone is probably still at work,
Don't worry, they'll get here :)

hold your throttle to the floor and crank the engine for 15 seconds, now give the throttle a tiny bit of input and crank the engine, if it starts hold it at 2000RPMs for about 1 minute and see if it will hold an idle on it's own.

see if that works first, it could just be flooded.

btw, LAN, i can't read that font for shit, just letting you know because i can't/don't read your posts.

WOT while im running the starter. Do I need to pull the fuse on the fuel pump?

after running it for 15 seconds, I stop (let the starter cool down?), then crank it again with minimun throttle

Holy crap it worked, it came back to life with a cloud of smoke that stank up the whole neighborhood. Now I feel like a dumbass for reading the FAQ and ignoring the "My car doesn't start" cause I was too busy mumbling "there is no way in hell its flooded". well I guess me and my trusty search button are going to figure out how to make it never happen again. Thanks.

your car has a built in "clear flood" feature, be thankful because all S4s do not come with this feature so you will notice alot of us have a switch to turn off the fuel pump.
