Check your grounds, and make sure you are getting 12V constant to the big thick positive wire on the soleniod, and then 12V when you turn the key on the little one with the female plug.

But if your block isnt grounded properly it will not start at all, so make sure they are all good. try jumping the negative of the battery to somewhere on the motor to make sure your grounds are ok

click click click usually means battery.... check your battery terminals for corosion, you can also do a voltage drop test to your starter... if you don't have a multimeter, go buy one... it should already be in an rx7 owners tool box though..

its probably the battery, my T2 did it one time but it only did 1 click!!! i change the battery and problem solved. but check first if it has 12v.

So you ran your car without water, overheated it, then dumped in a bunch of cold water into the radiator? I'm seeing something........... yes its very clear now........ its a big box fresh from fed ex, inside is................................................ .......................... a new motor.

that doenst have anything to do with it clicking and not starting... when you put the new starter in you either didnt secure that big ground wire good enough and it came loose or its not hooked up right... your problem is a bad ground somewhere... even if your motor was blown it would still at least start and run... ive had a blown motor... shot out 2.. yes 2 apex seals, one from each rotor and it still got me home about 15 mins away... it ran like ass and had to wind the motor way up to get it to go but it ran... anway... click click click is a loss of power/ground. you should have bolted the negative terminal wire of the battery to one of the bolts that hold the starter to the tranny. check and see that it did not come loose or that it is not corroded and is contacting good.
