wow, he really gets defensive easily.

Myself, I'd just post pictures of my progress.

ilike2eatricers 02-06-08 03:22 PM

dont talk about it be about it

j200pruf 02-06-08 03:39 PM

Mariah Motorsports makes a copy of the kit that is on bennys car, they said that it has been adopted to a unibody car though. I think that it costs about $5k

t-too 02-06-08 04:35 PM

... I read the CF thread... He needs to friggin do something and stop talking about it. If BUILDING A MOTOR is what's holding this up, i think it's obvious that the funds and know how to do this thing are simply unavailable. You can build a motor in a matter of days- even your first time, as long as you have all the parts...

FCS34LIFE 02-06-08 05:05 PM

What are we talking about again? Am I drunk?

TitaniumTT 02-06-08 05:20 PM

We are talking about newb failure and lame excuses. I'm curious why someone needs a motor to do body work? Personally when I repainted my entire car the first thing I did was pull the motor :dunno: Off to the lounge to see if the kid has any balls

TitaniumTT 02-06-08 05:21 PM

No wait, we were talking about actual race car body kits not some ricer CF crap. Sorry Roen

That one is actually a little different, see the doors aren't built up and the front fenders don't "un-flare" at the back like the IMSA cars.

Basically the only stock FC part in those IMSA cars was the roof and windshield surround AFAIK.

phoenix7 02-06-08 08:14 PM

you're right, it was mainly to show the one piece front end

Roen 02-06-08 09:39 PM

mm.....D-production here I come!

I guess I should probably not talk about that until I at least first build my ITS car......*hint hint*

They need to have Runoffs for at least ITR and ITS.

pyro_racer_0016 02-07-08 04:06 AM

kit is the gto 2 widebody package from http://www.mariahmotorsports.com/

You meant E-prod, right?

Well, it's called the ARRC. Heck, the SCCA still needs to do more housecleaning to trim the number of national classes - no room at the inn there. Personally, I'm glad they haven't sucked IT into the Runoffs - as a regional class at least it stays somewhat affordable.

Roen 02-07-08 09:04 AM

yea, E-prod....whoops.

I realize that, but there's no contingency in regional classes, right?

It looks different than the Mariah GTO, lines are too striaght on the Mariah version.

Black91n/a 02-07-08 03:03 PM

Yea, the factory car looks different, but it looks about the same as all those private team cars as far as I can tell from the sketch.
