FC Engine Problems Looking For Help Please

I have a '90 GXL I was on my way home from work and gave it some gas to do a lil burn out but instead the car started shaking from the engine moving and shaking much more in lower rpms. As long as I kept the rpms over 2,500 it would stay on but if I let the rpms drop the car would die. I got it to start and made it home by keeping the rpms up...but my buddy in the car behind me told me that my whole cat back exhaust was red and it was shooting blue flames. And the oil looked like it was lower than when I check it about a week ago. So it may be burning oil. could this be b/c of apex seals and my engine done let me know any help is much appreciated. Had a weird smell and when i got home it was smoking some but it appeard all hoses and wirers were connected, i check before i made the trip home but could be wrong

How many miles do you have on your car?

My 86 N/A had the same problem, but didnt shoot flames though because it was completely stock. I had to keep my foot on the pedal at a red light or stop sign to keep the car alive.

Sounds like the seals are broken, car overheated...

solution:

rebuilt.......$$$

Check first for vacuum leaks, or a broken TPS.

After that, compression test.
