Fail e.e

So i attempted to fix my sunroof though I had been warned and my results ended up being numerous trim clips broken, dirty interior, dented roof, oh and my sunroof still doesn't work. :wallbash:

Did you follow the directions outlined here?
http://www.rotorwiki.com/index.php/F...sticky_sunroof

Or was there something else wrong with it?

how the hell did you dent the roof?

fail indeed.

ITSWILL Dec 12, 2008 12:46 PM

those little clips suck, they are so old and brittle.

If you need and sunroof parts let me know I had to go through 3 sunroofs before I got one working one.

I trusted a guy i just meet and he put three dents on my roof with a screwdriver.

I tried to use this site: http://howto.globalvicinity.com/gv_w...=288&co=1&vi=1

I started breaking so many clips and I was trying to take out the rails to try and clean them but the bolts where a bitch so i just said f it and put everything back together and superglued the cracks.

Getting the motor out required more of the headliner to come off and my interior looked perfect until that point so I hope you can understand why I gave up.

I got a supposed working sunroof went to put it in and no dice. So i figured "I'll just leave it out a day or two until I can fix one".

At the time it was my daily driver, and yeah the next day it rained during my entire drive to school. Kinda sucked.

I used to have a 98 civic that I hated to hell and I used to drive with my sunroof down when it was raining because it was relaxing. I'd recommend buying a civic to do just that.

I never had water come inside the car thru the sunroof when I was driving in the rain

ITSWILL Dec 13, 2008 12:26 AM

The water coming in wasn't the problem so much as the pressure differential causing a horrible noise.

Then when I stopped I had to cover it with a tarp, which leaked like a bastard and left me with a wet seat.

Wasn't me! I swear to hell it was not me!!!

Old parts break, nuts and bolts get rusty... and I would have stabbed the guy with the screwdriver after he put dents in my roof.
