exhaust oppinion help

ok so 90 gxl,

im running the older style rb true duels that are actual true duel with separate presilencers not the current combined muffler they have out but to stock mufflers.

the guy i got it from kept them,
im on a tight budget , i would love to use rb mufflers but they are expensive
so im looking for 2 decent sounding good flowing mufflers to replace my stocks,

currently my setup just sounds kinda frappy, i dont have any leaks but it sounds like they almost could be a restriction plus i know they cant suppress sound very well so please any help would be greatly appreciated.

Be the first! Racing Beat REV25 Mufflers!!!

how the hell are those suppose to fit???

farberio 03-18-09 03:39 PM

You are going to use them, so its not my problem. :tonque:

In reality, I have no clue. You would probably have to go to an exhaust shop that can weld stainless steel and have them custom put on.

I just want someone to use them.

My beef with those sexy mufflers is that 99% of the time no one would ever see them, unless you did some liberal bumper trimming...

cozmosland 03-18-09 04:39 PM

well it would look weird in my oppinion, i would only want the tip too stick out anyway....

i could but its expensive, anyway back to topic, any more suggestions for mufflers?

The previous owner of my car replaced the stock mufflers with....okay, take a seat so you don't faint... Cherry bomb glass packs.

Truth is though, they actually sound good. :)

exhaust from a rotary engine will melt any glass pack. whether in a day, or a month all depends on each individual car.

I am aware of this, but like I said, the previous owner installed them. I was just saying that it sounded good. I have peaked in the tailpipe with a flashlight before and it seemed the insulation was good, judging by the fact i could see the fibers still intact through the baffles.
