Exhaust
What does everyone run for a good exhaust system on an 87 Turbo II? Is a straight exhaust fine or what?

hello fellow michigany
I run bonez racepipe with pre silencer and Monza cat-back exhaust.
RX7.com for bonez stuff victoriabritish.com for monza exh. Order mag all rx7 stuff(mag free) |
Friends don't let friends buy monza exhausts!!!
If you buy a Monza exhaust for a Turbo II, the first thing that happens is all that black paint coating they put on them burns off (smoke everywhere). Then a year or two later you will be replacing it because it rusted out ($200-$300 down the drain). If you are looking for inexpensive, you can pick up a RP Performance Cat-back Exhaust from RX7.com for $395. It is a good flowing system that will last. As far as other brands go, Borla, A'Pex, and GReddy, are all well liked name brands used. What you go with depends on your budget, what type of mods you are planning to do to your car, and how loud you want it. :D Later, Douglas 88 Turbo II Melbourne, FL |
Oh I almost forgot.
If you go with a straight through, high flow, exhaust (no cats), you will need to upgrade your fuel system and add a boost control system. Once the main cat is removed, you will get turbo creep in excess of 15psi. Without the fuel and boost control mods, you will lean out, and blow your engine within a short period of time. So if you are not ready to make those other modifications, keep your main cat on there for now. Later, Douglas 88 Turbo II Melbourne, FL |

thomasmeisch did your exhaust come with the dual exhaust tips? I am looking at the victoria-british catalog and it shows dual tips. If yours did how does it look from the back? Any Pics?
