engine won't start...
So I go outside to start up my car, and this happens...

And the answer is: Its flooded.
Though on a side note, love how a rotary seems to 'laugh' at us when it floods out. |
I've tried de-flooding it 3 times, because that's what it sounded like to me.
Pulled 40A, cranked it, replaced fuse... Nothing still... |
Then it's VERY flooded. Try using a teaspoon of oil in each rotor chamber.

Or, remove fuses, remove plugs, and proceed to crank over several times. <3 fuel pump switches.

I went out and cranked it for a while longer, and then I replaced the fuse. It started for a second, but the RPM's were too low to keep the engine going.
Stopped, and flooded again. I just pulled the fuse, and am going to let it sit a few minutes, before going back out and trying again. |
charge the battery or jumper the car as you crank it to make sure you dont drain the battery, which would cause a 'slow' crank over.

Still nothing. Could there be something else wrong?

Check for the usual: Spark, Compression, Fuel, then if all three check out 'ok' then check for blown fuses and loose connectors, especially the MAF.

Oil in the rotor chamber will not hurt anything as it does this with the omp. |
Which spark plug holes? How do I know they will get to both rotors? And won't putting them in the spark plug holes, wouldn't I have to take the spark plugs out first?
I've never done this... any of it. haha |

I've never done this... any of it. haha Yes, you have to take the plugs out! The only time I've ever done this is with the top plug hole. Just pull each top one out put the oil in. Put the plugs back in and crank away. E-A-S-Y! |
Plugs won't pull out... damnit...I have to be somewhere in 40 minutes... or I'm screwed... wtf...

There's no other running cars here, I don't know anyone inside of a 20 minute drive of myself that could help me. I'm stuck here.

Bum a ride to your local walmart. Go to walmart and pickup a cheap set of stanley deepwell and regular metric sockets, a set of extensions, and a ratchet and a spark plug socket. Ive taken 90% of my own 7 apart with just those tools and have slowly picked up other sockets and wrenches to fit certain other nuts and bolts. Having the right tools would have saved you the time and now a probably chewing out by the lady friend. |
Yeah, I need the spark plug set... apparently. Didn't know that it would get that seriously flooded that pulling that fuse wouldn't work.

Well, now you know.
In the future, keep a ratchet, spark plug socket, and a spare set of spark plugs. (They don't have to be the platinums, plain NGKs work.) in case you really foul your plugs. Pull injection and ignition fuses remove all plugs and crank for about 5 seconds, about 3-5 times. Then, a teaspoon of oil inside each housing, replace spark plugs (but don't bother plugging them in) and turn the engine over a few times to start building compression. Remove old spark plugs, replace with new spark plugs (plug them in this time), insert fuses in again, and crank @ WOT (to keep engine alive once started). This is assuming you're an S4, judging by your front bumper. |
Thanks, but now my starter went out... haha, going to replace it with the one from my GXL. Hopefully I'll be up and running tomorrow, got a friend coming to help me get it up...
