Engine Swapping
Ok, I have an 1988 GTU s4 FC. And I was thinking of swapping to an S5 Tii, not just the motor, but everything. Im pretty new to all this and I was wondering if this would evenwork and what all would have to go into it? Oh yeah it's a 5spd and it'd be swapped to a 5spd...

Did you read the site I linked?
It answers all of your questions. BTW, having made swaps myself, stick with the S4 series if you have an S4. Its cheaper and so much easier. Its not worth the 14hp you can easily gain elsewhere anyhow. My 2 cents. |

186hp - TII S4
200hp - TII S5 You have an S4, go with an S4 TII swap. Much easier and a lot cheaper. Not worth the money imo when you can easily get the 14hp back for much cheaper on an S4. Thats only my personal opinion. Do what you want. Question that you have to ask your self. Are you good with wiring? Do you have money and patience. Do you usually half ass stuff? |

noob here but if you're gonna get an aftermarket turbo you might as well go with the s4 and make things easier. with another turbo you can surpass the hp of an s5 t2
