engine swap

is it possible to get an engine swap for an 86? what kind of engine would possibly fit without many troubles?

There are several swaps that you can do with little trouble. But you need time and money for all of them.

Is your 86 blown?

Any 86-88 engine. Sticking a turbo into a non-turbo's a bit tricky, but possible. The more troubles you are ok with, the higher you can go, such as a 20B, a 305/350 chevy, a 302 ford, some of those screwy number supra engines (god damn why can't they make it easy!?) And so forth, depends on your abilities and the time you want to invest (and money, of course)

89-91 are all the same if im corect and basicly what you would need is ECU,wire harness, and the engine i think thats what you would need

My kid has a less serious hobby, " dad, the 7 wont start" After further inspection, replace one starter, one pos cable to starter (they are conjoined and cannot seperate) and, hold a lession on flipping a switch for the 1,000th time.
