Engine Stutters at Idle.
Base 88' N/A:
Cold or warm, when my car is idling it skips and stutters in a random pattern. Mostly the skips are barely noticeable, but some of them last for 1/4 - 1/2 of a second. Enough to rock the car. While driving there is no stutter at any RPM. Solutions to try: New spark plugs - Which plugs should I use? Is it possible that the wrong plugs were used already? New Wires - Would this help? They seem new, no noticeable cracks and they are well protected so they are not grounding out to the engine or chasis. Could someone suggest other things I might try? On another note, how do I check that my 5th and 6th ports are operating correctly? And if they arent, what do I do about it? This is in regards to the 3800 RPM hesitation, which has grown increasingly violent of late. |
same thing happens with me, its a standard rotory fart... no worries man, and i have brand new plugs and aftermarket wire and it still happens... nothing to worry bout, as for the port diagnostic, i have no idea

Thanks, I guess i'll leave it then. Anyone else for the ports question?
