Engine Removal HELP

OK, so... I have an '86 GXL And I'm removing the engine to rebuild/replace depending on the internal damage.

I'm stuck at the part where I actually remove the engine via hoist. Everything is clear, no hoses or anything are attached. Starter motor is out, and I've removed 4 bolts connecting it to the transmission (2 driver's side 2 passenger's side). When I clear the engine mounts with the hoist and start to pull forward, the engine refuses to disengage with the transmission. The top will start to, about 1/4 of an inch or so, but the lower driver's side stays firmly together.

any ideas where I've gone wrong?

there is a Bolt that you can't see..it is located just Under where the starter Was..it is Recessed a bit.Take a look there..YOu may have taken the Starter off withw that ONE big ass bolt that Goes through teh bell housing, and the rear of the engine, and also teh one bolt that Hold the starter to the Transmission,But there is ONE more Bolt there..

Yeah, missed that first time around, but soon found it again. Sadly not the problem. I've checked, then double checked to see for any more bolts holding them together, but there is nothing that I can see... :(

should be about 6 bolts to unbolt. 2 on top near the clutch slave. 2 on each sides i think. after that i think you can wiggle the engine out. ( at least that is what i did)
