engine rebuild?

ok i have a s4 TII, i think the oil seals are jacked up bc when i take the car to the upper rpm range at about 6500 rpm+ for about two or three shifts it lets out a steady stream of smoke for about a minute, but if i shift under 5500k it just throws out a little puff and its gone, no smoke comes out of my exhaust after that....my TII only has 109k on it, and my compression is good. so must i rebuild and if i have to who do you think i should take it to....i live in central TX, and what would i be looking at as far as price range for pulling of the engine, rebuild and reinstall if i have a rotary aviation full rebuild kit already......or would i be better off buying a block that has already been rebuilt? i know there are ways to do a "cheap" rebuild, in which only the necessary seals and springs are replaced but i dont know anyone who does that....any info would help, thanks guys

Mine does that too. It's been that way for awhile. Doesn't seem to have gotten worse though. I just make sure she has plenty of oil. After running her hard she always needs a half a quart or so. Only thing to do is rebuild. Might want to talk to BDC, who is in Dallas.

high RPM smoke is usually a turbo seal that is going out but it could also be an oil control seal on its way out as well. oil in the turbo itself inlet and or outlet only is a good indication of a turbo seal going... oil throughout the exhaust only even in the manifold means a oil control seal is going out but this is tougher to diagnose.

Is he at Rotary Performance in Garland? I'm looking at a rebuild too, so I'm interested.

You have RX.7.com in Garland for a rebuild, listen to other people regarding engine stuff.

yo sideways go to bdcmotorsports.com......thats what they were talkin about......i opened my hood today and started flooring it, well smoke was spewing from the exhaust and it looked like it was coming from under the hood around the turbo also....so i should get somebody to change the turbo oil seal before i do anything else....thanks for the info guys

yo sideways i also heard you had alamo rotary rebuild your engine but now it needs another.....i always hear on this forum to go to BDC motorsports or Rotary Performance, they simply are the best from what i hear....the email to BDC is BDC@bdcmotorsports.com he gave me a kick ass quote a while back....they're fairly reasonable. then you have rotary performance who has the fastest street legal rx7 in the world so i'm pretty sure they know what they are doing as well, lol
