engine problems need some help
 

i just bought a 88 10AE FC some time ago but sience the frist time i drive it it dosent have power and it skips when it idels i chaged the plugs but i dont really know what to do sience im new with this FC stuff my dad who work on autobody says that i might have to rebulid the engine but if anyone out there has an idea that better idea tell it.

Get a rotary compression test from the dealer or rotary specific repair shop.

Skips could be spark misfire, injector misfire, compression problem, sensor failure, filter clogged .......

If you get 6 good compression readings
replace fuel/air filters and plug wires
adjust timing, idle, TPS...
clean fuel injectors(removal is best method)
Check for vacuum leaks and damaged intake hoses. It might be best just to replace all the vacuum hoses.
