Engine Porting Question

Alright..I am currently rebuilding my s4 turbo motor (streetport)..well about a week ago I was looking through the front plate and noticed that there was a small sliver missing where the outer coolant seal would fit in, so thats they it blew a coolant seal....

Anyways long story short....I ordered a new plate and now am stuck with a question. I never put a streetport on the last engine, it came with it. I have never ported an engine before, so would it hurt to put this stock port on with the streetport...or would it be a better option to have it ported? I mean would I lose anything or what would happen? I hope you all understand my question...

You should port it to match. If not one portion cylinder or rotor whatever you want to use to describe it will see different AFR ratios. One side will make more power then the other.

Any competent machine shop should be able to port it to match the other one.

yep, port it or there could be a significant load put on one rotor vs the other and that can cause things to break over time.

Yeah, it would put extra stress on internal components and could do bad things over time.
