engine help please
I was doing the poor man compression test check and I have a question. The front rotor is a steady CH-CH-CH-CH-CH sound while the back is a ch-ch-CH-ch-ch-CH-ch-ch-CH, I read that the front rotors on s4's push more air while the rears do on s5's for reasons unknown , is this what I am experiencing or is my rear rotor fubar'd

sounds like a damaged apex seal on the rear rotor.

NOOOOOOOOO, can some more people please help me out here , I want a few opinions/questions before i pull out all my hair and go try and get a freakin loan for a new rebuild

That is the sound of two missing compressions; from a broken or stuck apex seal.
Rebuild it. |

Don't piss around.. if the seal hasn't damaged the rotor housing already, it sure as hell will if it comes apart and drags around in there. Once they are nicked, they are done.... engine kits cost 550 to 875 depensing on what you get with the kit.. New rotor housings are 475 EACH!! |
Solution: Atkins Rebuild kit (and 3 MM apex seals too!) :D
