engine dies after hard boost
 

i have exshast done.. cone filter with straight pipe, and aftermarket bov. i checked the bov, its not leaking.. the one thing i did was 'not' reconnect the check valve from the turbo-to-tmic pipe, which the pipe was remade for the new bov. anyone have an idea whats goin on? i get on the gas.. full boost, then when i let of the gas and dont rev in nutral the car will die. would that check valve be the problem?

since the pic were tookin i have removed the little rubber block from the end, and it does run beter but still stalls..

I think this is a common thing when you vent the BOV to atmoshpere with the stock ECU and AFM.. Only happens after you get on the boost right????

if you would have searched, you would of found this to be brought up over and over again....

The same thing was happening to me, my BOV spring was all the way soft so i tightend it down a lot and never happend again.

thanks guys... its strange.. cause i redlined the motor in the garage with the hood up and let it stall out then went and looked at the bov, it was closed so i figure its something else

also .. i have come to realize searches, 9-10 are useless, a while back, someone asked to see stereo pics. i thought the same thing untill i went to search and give him links to start with. type in 'stereo'. and tell me where the pics are.. [https://www.rx7club.com/search.php?searchid=731181] even my own thread labeled 'custom stereo...' is way the heck back... like page 8. dunno about you.. but i dont like spending 1/2 hour to look. most people that dont want to answer, dont answer. forgive me for being rude. i just thought i would bring up what i come to relize being in your shoes. also to me i cant think of a search title to look for my specific problem. like i said, i thought i ruled out bov. even if i did use this, there would be so many threads on installs, which ones are better... etc. i think new guys should be allowed to post whatever but also told to read all tech threads regularly, even if they dont have the problem posted. just my thoughts, thanks again

sometimes i feel the same way... but looking thru the searches and archieve at your spare time could be very educational
i think i read it before that soemone adjusted their dashpot so the thorttle opens a little longer so it doesnt stall...
