Engine cranks but doesn't start...

Bah, I just got back from school again; I've been running my FC around the block every week I come home. This time though, it seems it will crank but not start...I've tried flooding solutions so far (depressing the throttle, pulling the EGI).

When I try to start it though, it seems that the electrics are going down, and when I'm cranking the engine it cranks fine at first but starts dying. Could this be a compression problem?

It's dark as hell right now; I'll have to take a second look at it later during the day. :(

If it was a compression issue usually the car will turn over more easily. Less compression equals less resistence to cranking. How long are you cranking the car?
I would start with the basics if unflooding doesn't work.
Check for spark- remove a plug and insert it back into the spark wire. Turn the engine over with the plug grounded on the block. Look for spark. (you may have fouled plugs)
Check compression- either listen for pops from the spark plug holes (spark plug removed) when you turn it over by hand or use a tester.
Check for fuel- squirt good gas into each chamber through the plug holes, reinstall plugs and then try to start.

Good luck,
Brian

Mine does this sometimes. Most days it will start first go, others it will take 5 mins.
I've found that the tacho needle bounches between 0 and 300 when cranking then it starts fine. When it wont start the needle doesnt bounce and voltage only reads about 10volts. On these occasions I just keep trying while pumping the pedal, that usually gets it going. My belts need replacing.

Pull the plugs..with the EGI Removed, roll the engine over thirty seconds..Clean the plugs thoroughly.Put a Milkshake straw(approximately One Tablespoon) of OIL into the Plug holes.and roll over for Two seconds.Replace the Plugs, put the Egi Back in and IT SHOULD START!..If not Repeat one more time..If it doesn't start,,try changing Plugs. Also the fuel filter.(you said you only start it once in awhile..Could be Bad Gas too)..Good Luck..STYX.
