Question Energy Suspension ball joint covers?

i removed my s5 control arms and one of the ball joint boots were ripped. i know the kit comes with the "bushing/cover" but when i pulled them out of the box i noticed they were a hell of alot smaller. anyone else run into this problem?

well there are two types that come in the kit. yo u should have smaller ones for the tie rods and bigger for the balljoints.

are you talking smaller in diameter? remember they were getting squished for the last 15-20 years ...the newer ones would be thinner but taller ....are they not?

well for further reference i was able to get it on after removing old cover. it goes on but if u move the ball joint alot apart of it comes off.
it does the same for both ball joint and outer tie rod boot. i installed them anyway and after tightening everything it covers bout 90% there is just alil bit where it peels up alittle. i dont know if when i set the car down after working on it and with the weight of the engine if it will fix, but i might be ok for i assume.
