Alight everyone figured I would post up thoughts on these. Everyone hates on cheap coilovers . Well have are are the goods and bads

I picked these up for my 87 turbo II. Cost was 488 out the door. Being in ohio and the company in indiana . Took 1 day shipping . Shipping is free . I know these are selling they sold out in red in a couple days.

They coilover itself wasn't bad. These where made Taiwan not china. They look a lot like. Megan or bc. So the next day we install.

Install.
Install went good. Prefect fitment. 1 PROBLEM. The brake line on the coilover was for a bracket and a bolt like a dsm and a lot of other cars have . Mine didnt have that set up. I had to either make a metal peice to bolt it down or zip tie the line to the designated spot. Which I did . No problem.

The low
These things will drop the car very well. I left them where they came and it drop my car very well. With a lot of room to go lower.

1 issue. I don't think this is due to the coilover
My front wheels hit the front springs. After adjusting the camber plates . * yes the front pillow top chamber plates work.* I do have aftermarket wheels. I throw a small spacer on and boo. Fixed. Again I think its my wheels.

The ride.

I was shocked ! There a tad hard which is how all coilovers are for the most part. But there not boucey at all. There are nice stiff and handle great. I felt a big change myself . I am very happy with them. And will buy again. BOpen road smooth as can.the box says you change damping and. Havent yet. There prolly on hard

Overall ups and downs

Downs
No markings on the front camber plates
Brake line mounting on mine where different but easy to manage wouldn't stop me from buying again.shouldn't stop you.

Ups
Ride is better the. Ksports ! There your avg 1k coilover
Cheap price for decrent coilover
Gets low and dirty like a rap. Video
Great fitment easy install

Its your basic cheaper end coilover. Same as any 1k and under coilover. Ksport, megan etc etc

..heh..I love them little smiley buggers!..!
Ya,pics of the install and maybe a link would be nice!

wheels hitting the struts is due to low offset, has nothing to do with camber setting or the struts. but if they fit on stock struts they should fit easier on coilovers, are these stock wheels? if so then the spring placement and diameter would have to be quite bad, coilovers in general allow for wider wheels not shallower(coilover springs generally being non conical like the factory springs which give more room).

Iced_Apple 03-20-13 01:23 PM

Aftermarket wheels.

I didn't plan on writing or posting about then due to everyone bashing them and after a couple things said back and forth with other members set me back on this site.

RotaryEvolution 03-20-13 04:10 PM

who cares so long as they work, they do give some adjustability but i wouldn't expect premium ride quality from just about any coilover. (even my $2600 HKS hyper D's aren't very streetable)

Taiwan is a province of China, and many of the products marked "Made in Taiwan" are sub-contracted out to manufacturers in mainland China. Some of the supposed Japanese brands are also made in China and Malaysia, and some coilovers are made in South Korea.

There is only a problem when people act like the cheapie coilovers are comparable to professional racing parts. You have already stated that they are your basic cheaper end coilover. Some people just want coilovers for looks or drifting, neither of which warrants expensive racing components. I think that these types of people would be interested in a write-up.

I Had the Same problem with my stupid Godspeed Coil overs, that is until I realized my rear wheels had mistakenly been put on the front (staggered).

What I would be really interested in is whether they stand up over time. The Godspeeds that were on my car for less than six months before I bought it have already blown out and are leaking fluid.:wallbash: And whether they are rebuild able when they eventually blow out.

RotaryEvolution 03-21-13 12:08 PM

they are probably just throw away units, if you blow them out they will likely cost as much as it is to just replace them. another drawback of cheap coilovers.

That's why BC just gives you a new unit.

Iced_Apple 04-04-13 09:38 AM

I would say a 2 inches. Yea the ride is pretty decent. Its not boucey. Just alittle stiff.I would say there are softer then my old ksports on my 240 though

Iced_Apple 04-04-13 09:57 AM

Derek_McDermott 04-04-13 11:01 AM
