how hard of a task is this? i have all the block off plates for the job but i was just wondering before i threw myself into this how much of a pain it would be and how much gain i could get from it? i also tried finding a write up on here about it but i couldnt find nothing helpful :(

Just did it on my S4 TII. Overall, it runs alot smoother and has slightly better throttle response...for me atleast.

Also, while you're in there you should think about getting your injectors cleaned aswell as replace or remove the fuel pulsation dampener.

Check out www.rotaryresurrection.com for a write-up.

ok thanks for the link how long did it take overall to do?

PhantomSky 12-24-09 10:22 PM

Well, it took me and my buddy roughly two 6 hour days but we took it slow and bullshit alot along with a couple trips to NAPA. Would probably take half that amount of time if you really just focused on it.

lol it doesnt take close to that at all as long as you know what your doing. took me an hour to do as long as your used to taking the LIM off your good and know what vac lines go where your good to go. I have a very useful diagram if you search my posts you'll find a bunch on emissions removal when i was researching the procedure there is a very good diagram on there for an s4 TII and if you look at that even though it says you need the yellow vac lines (it says" to keep") you dont really need them . but if your going all out with it you will need new fuel lines as well... if you want to remove the entire nest once it is disconnected. good luck pm me if you have any questions..... there is a good write up at rotaryresurection.com
