Emissions code read...

Well, I dont have an OBD 1 for my 90 rx7. I read them by plugging a wire to a green single brong 'thing' behind my driver side headlight to a ground. The numbers i read were:
9, 11, 13, 30, 33, 38, and 51.

If someone can please let me know what they are exactly... That would be awesome.

1990 Turbo II. I don't go to any of the meets, so I don't know where they are. It's just me a few buddies with RX-7's

Cool man, I got a 90 FC with the s5 TII swap. If you know of any or go to any meets at all, or whatever, let me know. That would be awesome. There arent any FC's rolling around my area. Might see 1 or 2, if you are lucky.

what if your check engine light came on for a few seconds then back off, and never on since then? Will it tell you the previous fault?

porsche4786 Feb 10, 2008 04:18 PM

ok, i figured it out...but, now I have another question. When reseting your fault(s) some say to undo the positive side of the battery for a few minutes. Some say to disconnect the negative from the plug. Which is true? Would you undo the negative from the plug while the key is in the ignition spot or off?

it doesn't matter which, just as long as the battery is disconnected for something like 5 or 10 minutes.

ah, ok, thanks, I thought maybe they just meant to disconnect the sensor from the ground.
