Electrical problems

Ok... basically, my power windows don't work. The p side doesn't work at all. The d side rolls down but won't go up. My sunroof pops up but won't slide back. I hooked the d side window motor directly to a battery and it rolls up fine. Any ideas? Wiring harness. Where would I check for problems?

clean or replace switches...they like to get dirty & wear out...

I would check switches and loose wires in general. I don't know alot about the interior wiring, but you should be able to use volt meters and check the connection from the switch and decide if the wire is dead.

Ok... I checked both motors and they both work. How would I go about cleaning the switch? How hard would it be to get new window harnesses?

I got new harnesses for both sides. I hooked them up before ripping out my old ones and the windows did the same thing. I also found out that I can roll down the p/s window with the p/s switch and roll it up with the d/s switch. I discovered this before testing the new harnesses. They did the same thing with the new harnesses.. d/s window still only rolls down.

it is usally the relays for the wipersif they fail

Well they work... I explained it in an earlier post. I'm leaning towards new switches. How can I check to see if they are good?

It was indeed the switches. Thanks for all the help.
