Electrical Problems

hey guys. i'm kind of stumped so maybe someone knows whats wrong. i have an 88 se. i replaced the stock radio and all the speakers and now when i'm run my acessories the volt meter starts getting really low. like last night i had my lights on heat up and the rear defroster on w/ my radio playing the meter hit 12v. and it made the radio start to cut out, it would shut on and off. i thought i fixed the problem, i got a new battery and remanufactured alternator and it was working like a charm till last night. i can't figure out whats wrong!!! someone please help me

Well, if this happened after you replaced the stock radio, then there is a problem with your new wiring or new radio. Check for shorts, use a ammeter to check current draw of the new radio, etc.

well you are probably over loading th eelectrical system since you were probably using large speakers and all the regular accessories. Or you might have grounding problems. I am not familiar with elecrical problems but that is what I "think" could cause it.
