electrical problem

ok so im just finishing up my TII and the battery has been relocated, problem is that when i go to put the ground on the terminal it arcs like crazy, no burnt fuses or anything. everything is hooked up right. any ideas, its killed 1 of my batteries so far to the point it doesnt charge

You have the battery hooked up backwards (remember FC batteries are the opposite eof most cars) or you have pinched or shorted a wire to ground.

But I would almost bet money that you have the battery connections backwards

hmm, positive to fues box in engine bay and starter, ground to body and what not, ill check for pinches though, thanks

Remove the cable from the starter solenoid and see what happens. No spark means you have that cable attached to the starter .....wrongly. If there is such a word. Is now.

ok will give it a shot, im still wating for my charge pipe to have my bov flange welded on to it so im not in any hurry, this shit is just anoying as hell

ok so i found what it was, it was the starter cable... but not because it was attched wrong, the brase pice that crimps to the end of the cable and gets tightend down to the solinoid was bent to far and was touching the starter casing, thus completing a circut and causing shit to arc.

thanks HAILERS for making the suggestion to look at the starter.
