Electrical Problem...

The fuse connected to my clock, mirrors etc...keeps blowing. It works until I pop in the cigar lighter or any accessories into that port, then it blows. Any ideas would help...thanks:shocking:

Are your cooling fans running all of the time? And are your gauges displaying? It could be a relay. I just took a wire and put in my fuse panel to the fuse that pops and listened for a click and traced my to the cooling fan relay.

And dont leave the wire in there. Just put it in the socket for a second or less just to here the click. I went through about 30 fuses(no lie) and finally took the wire and had my dad listen for which relay was clicking.

sounds like a pinched wire in the cig lighter port...

I wasnt reading the post right i thought your fuse was just popping. Yea check all the wires and clean out the contacts in the lighter itself.

A lot better to use a self reseting circuit breaker. Cheap at radio shack or electronics store.

I did use that while i was at work but it wasnt mine to take home so instead i used all my fuses in my fuse box then went on to my stash then had to find some fuses just to get my car to the store to buy more:)
