electrical problem?
 

91 na ill start the car and the engine wont turn. ill here a crackling/sizzling sound from the engine, maybe by the firewall. ill try starting it a few more times, eventually it will turn then start up idling slow up to 1500. ill turn it off and back on and the cold start will rev to 3000 like normal. this problem happend the day after i cleaned the motor (covered alternator) with STP engine degreaser. Any ideas as to what the problem could be? Already did a search. Thanks

Fried starter?

ytf would u clean a motor with that shit? motors are suppose to me dirty unless it is for show. If you hosed down the whole engine bay then start checking ALL the conections and empty the water out and make sure you didn't blow any wires loose, and old car has very fragile wires.

some people like a clean looking engine too. I didint know it could be the starter because the car starts without fail most of the times. ill get it checked. thanks
