The TURN fuse is on a buss that only gets power if the key is in ON or better.

The HAZARD fuse is on the batt buss which has pwr 24/7.

Therefore if the car is wired per the stock wiring, the turn lights cannot light up using the TURN fuse. Only the HAZARD fuse could light them up if the key is OFF.

So the next time you pull the key out and see the passengers side lit up, remove the TURN fuse and see if they are still lit up.

If they are still lit up, then now pull the HAZARD fuse and see if they go out.

IF they went out when you pulled the TURN fuse. I'd say the wiring has been altered from stock somewhere. IG1 buss cannot have power on it unless the key is to ON or better (TURN is on IG1 buss). IG1 can have power on it if someone rewired *something* and caused the batt buss to backfeed the IG1 buss thru the *something* that is miswired.

Make sure you have the correct CPU in the car. Compare its part number with the one found in the PARTS FISCHE. Parts fische site can be found on the FAQ thread on this site.

Which plug? The one at the top or one of the bottom plugs?

The top plug with the most wires has a black/yellow that feeds the alternator relay inside the CPU. Only powered if the key is to ON or better.

Also feeds a seat belt timer and some kind of warning unit.

I assume series four car.

METER fuse feeds that black/yellow wire.
