Electrical connnector help
 

So I'm trying to put my shell back together, and I ran into a connector under the drivers side dash that I can't find in the FSM (I'm sure it's there somewhere). The car has electrical issues that may or not be related to this (it was stripped of random harnesses and electrical components when I bought it so I'm trying to put it back together). The first picture shows the connector, the second picture shows the wire colors, and the third picture shows where the connector is located (drivers side kick panel area). Anybody (Satch) have suggestions?

It's a plug that mates the Door harness to the Front harness. Allows items like the power windows to be plugged to the harness.

Hmm, I went back out and looked and didn't see a "female" connector for it anywhere. Is there a specific spot that I should look?

Thanks for the help satch, I have read MANY of the threads you have contributed to and you're a HUGE asset to this forum.

The Front Harness side of the connector is the larger plug and the Door Harness is the smaller one which fits into Front. If the pic is of the Door plug then the Front part should be nearby.

Just so there's no confusion, it will look exactly like the logicon's 9-pin connector, just with 2 fewer pins on one side of the locking tab. Look at the logicon itself, not the dash connector(s) for it and you'll see what I mean. They're made by the same manufacturer, Korea Electric Terminal, as part of the 118(PA) series.

This one looks like connector FDR-01 (S4 name, they changed the names for S5) and can be identified correctly in the wiring diagrams by matching up the pinouts. If you can't find its mate, start from the power window switch and follow the wires through the door grommet.

Technically, connector genders are reversed from what appears obvious. The connector in the picture would be referred to as a female connector because it uses female terminals. If you look at the connector on a FC's headlight switch, you can see it uses male terminals. This is just how connector manufacturers name them.

Don't the door connectors have foam on them?
