EGR valve
Does anyone know where I could purchase an EGR valve for less than $200 dollars?
So far I have contacted local Mazda dealership, Atkins rotary, and Mazdatrix. They all have the same price of $230, I was hoping to find one for less. Is there anyway to check and EGR valve from a junkyard, or do I have to install it first and then check it with a vacuum pump? Thanks in advance. |
I can sell you one. How much are you willing to pay?

New or used?

Don't really care either way, just to pass smog.
I am going to block it off after that |
Here's what I did for my n/a. Pull out the EGR and clean out the passageways of soot and gunk. Get a tube of black 3M 5200 marine sealant and smear a film all over the leaky rubber diaphragm - use a skinny stick to get to all the spots. The idea is to seal it and make it air-tight. Then let it dry for a day or 2. Works great, as long as there's still enough rubber to put the adhesive on.
