EGI Comp fuse keeps popping!!!!!!!

Ok, so I disconnected my coil pack to get to the clutch master cylinder with a little more ease... Forgetting to plug it back in, I tryed to re-start the car, which it did start. and the died. After that I realized I forgot to plug it in, and I also noticed my egi comp fuse blew. So, I replaced the fuse and made sure the coil pack was connected and tryed again... POP, the fuse blew again. I then took it out to find it was very very hot. What the hell is going on? I didnt see and wires touching. Did I fry my ecu? This is no good.

I'm doing this from memory. The EGI COMP is the 30amp fuse. Right?????

It comes off the engine fuse box on a White/Blue wire and goes to a plug on the MAIN RELAY where you've just been working.

It leaves the MAIN RELAY and exits as a BLACK/WHITE wire. That BLACK/WHITE wire feeds all the solenoids on the left of the engine and the two solenoids on the ACV plus a wire going to the ECU. Go look at any solenoid on the engine and you'll see one of the two wires is BLACK/WHITE, to confirm what I said.

So the short could be anywhere I mentioned above. I'd start by looking at the main relay. Maybe pull the plug off, no, both plugs off it and see if the 30a fuse still blows. Maybe lookaround that area for a bare wire.

If that does not work, pull all the plugs off the ACV and all the solenoids and see if that helps.

That's for a series four car. i've no idea what car you have. It's not mentioned anywhere in your post.
