ebay wastegate?

will anyone recommend the ebay wastegates? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/40mm-...spagenameZWDVW

or should i just go to a local shop and have them port my stock one?

would a stock FD wastegate work better than a S5 wastegate?

i dont trust that ebay stuff. the s5 wastegate is internal, that is an external wastegate. how do you plan on connecting things? even if oyu an come up with a method it is far easier/simpler/cheaper to port the old one.

yes I really am, people have different opinions about anything....but i figured this much that a s4 wastegate and s5 are completely different or am i still wrong? s5 doesnt have that much of an issue with boost creep? i searched everywhere and i jus need one answer lol

so heres the scenario....I'm planning to get a TII dont really matter if its s4 or s5 and I'm planning to put the Racing Beat REV exhaust on it and of course a FCD....now some guy is saying that I have to upgrade fuel pump and injectors before putting the exhaust and some other guy is saying dont touch that unless you have a ported wastegate! :wallbash: so I'm really really confused....whats the best route to go which upgrade comes first and so on.....:Wconfused someone help me lol

You can go external on a s4 manifold; takes a lot of work however. Here is what I did for Node...

Wait.. you don't even HAVE the car yet and you are looking for parts?

Step 1: buy car
Step 2: drive car
Step 3: learn how to maintain your car.
Step 4: research upgrades based on what you feel you want out of the car (having driven it)
Step 5: repeat step 4
Step 6: Post "does this ebay wastegate look okay" thread.

:) Just my opinion.

I used to have a FC i sold it 2days ago, so i know how the car drives and performs and know how to maintain it...and yes i'm looking for parts because i'm trying to plan things out before hand so i know the cost and everything....so if you know the answer to my questions please just answer them:)

Here's some "friendly" advice...

The stock wastegates (i.e. S4 / S5 turbos) are called "internal wastegates".
This means the wastegate itself is integrated into the turbo (turbine) itself.
You cannot "remove" an internal wastagate, by itself, and slap it onto another turbo.
So, you, talking about swapping S5 / S4 wastegates doesn't make any sense.

RETROFITTING an EXTERNAL wastagate is possible, but it's expensive...labor intensive...and, IMO, not necessary.
Porting the stock wastegate (even an S4 one) is more than enough to handle the stock turbo (compressor) up to reasonable boost (i.e. 15psi).

As for the Ebay crap...
PERSONALLY, you get what you pay for.
I buy only HKS and Tial wastegates.
Fuck knock-off shit.
Nuff said.
