cbrinega 03-28-04 01:23 PM

I purchased a very similar set (no SS brake lines) from a guy on e-bay (donilam I think), and they have been great. I've had them for over a year.

I don't know anything about that seller.

hondahater 03-28-04 01:26 PM

yeah I got some slotted and drilled rotors from ebay and they are really good! I think there are better deals than that on ebay though for rotors. I got mine for 240 plus shipping.

Madrx7racer 03-28-04 01:33 PM

I still think that is a really good deal..........buy it now........my favorite feature.....I don't bid, just buy.

hondahater 03-28-04 01:35 PM

oh my bad didn't see what that came with, yes go for it.

SirCygnus 03-28-04 03:03 PM

i have to get a stinkin airflow meter.

anyone got one thats in good/great/rebuilt condition?

Kenteth 03-28-04 03:05 PM

heh, you can get rotors for ~$30 a pc at the auto store. They won't be all bling bling... but they will probably work just as well...

razorback 03-28-04 03:35 PM

i got a good deal on rotors from poor college student. brembo fronts and bradi rears. all for cheaper than the ebay auction.

FDreaming 03-28-04 03:48 PM

they are your brakes. Do you really want cheap off brand Ebay rotors stopping you?

razorback 03-28-04 03:52 PM

like i said contact poor college student.

and what is that zinc coating stuff? how does that work and what are the benefits/downsides?

CRXtoRX7 03-28-04 04:36 PM

Zinc doesn't rust, so coat the rotor in it, and no rust! The only thing it affects in this case is rusting of the parts not in contact with the pads. Meaning that thole thing stays bling. Instead of just where the pads rub off the rust.

gotta be careful because sometimes they just drill out low quality rotors and they will crack / warp over time.

Which auto store are you going to? Th cheapest i've found rotors for the 7, were running at about $100 a peice.

Kai 03-28-04 05:27 PM

Autozone sells them for around $60, Tirerack sells brembo blanks for $40something.
