Ebay FC oil cooler experience
 

Grabbed one of these "worley" oil coolers off ebay.

Construction seemed ok, however it was tapped for 16x1.5 threads.

After tapping to 18x1.5 and getting proper gaskets, since it came with rubber o-rings, it's in the car and no leaks yet (knock on wood)

Me too. Ive seen this brand all over the ebays, but didnt realise they came with a thermostat. Quite impressed! Have you tested the temp range on it? Will be interested to see how it holds up and if it works as good as oem.

looks good. didn't even know such things existed until this thread. what's the deal, are they built new or refurbished OEM?

built new for sure.

tstat is a bit different than stock to fit in the space. I haven't tested it yet...

At this point I need to fab up some intake pipes and throttle cable brackets and tune the car. It's cold though, high of like 30 today, which sucks.

Interesting... I didn't know these existed either, but it looks like a pretty decent reproduction of the OEM FC oil cooler. Please let us know how this thing holds up over time, and post up your oil temps once it's running.

I had seen these before on Ebay but was wary. Fitment looks good, let us know how it preform for you.

Any updates on this? They seem too cheap to be good. Did it feel as substantial as the stock one you replaced? I am wondering if it'll take a hit (e.g. rock) like the stock one can without puncturing. Thanks for any info.

That's impressive. I once bought a Chinese cooler that claimed to be OEM design, but did not use the proper size/thread for the fittings. If this is truly a bolt in part, a great price to replace a damaged cooler.

I don't think it will be any less durable than the factory cooler. That said, a rock will never touch it in my car as there's a big intercooler in front of it.

As I mentioned, the threads were not correct. It was an easy job to tap it correctly, though.
