The car in your sig pic has nice headlights. Are you making those yourself?

igottafc 02-16-04 12:58 AM

wow, thats the most modern looking kit for an FC ive ever made. looks incredible!! i like it alot! very sharp! im not to fond of the side fender vents, but oher than that, id hit it! do you have a guesstimate on how much you are going to sell them for>? -alex

Dltreezan 02-16-04 01:49 AM

i wanna make that kit for around a grand if possible less, thats for the front sides and rear, and then just for me im gonna put the corksport widefenders on there and cut a matching vent at the bottom, but either way it gives it a very modern twist, its unbeleiveable, i was screwing around with the paintshop yesterday and I was very excited when i came up with the design, people are driving me nuts about this thing within the last hour and its 1145 on the west coast on a sunday night, i dont even want to know how many pm's im gonna have on this thing when i off of work tomorow

dorifc3s 02-16-04 08:17 AM

You make that for a grand, and I'll buy one. I'm sure that my buddy would pick one up too.

Dltreezan 02-16-04 01:41 PM

hmm, i wasnt going to post anything about it until i decided to make it, but just looking at the response ive gotten the im for sure going to move on it.

Are you intentionally doing the lower grill area to look like the current Lamborgini models? Will the headlights require a new hood?

Dltreezan 02-16-04 02:06 PM

no, but its not intentional, but it does look strikingly enzo/lambo/merc therefore very modern so i have no complaints, and no it wont need a new hood, it will have a peice behind the headlight, BUT you could mold it to the hood and have a very slick looking car

Digi7ech 02-16-04 02:51 PM

I'm guessing you'll do something like the FC2000 front end where you use the extra top space. You would just give it a slant right?

Definitely a nice front end. Clean and simple. It looks like it retains the bumper strip shape pretty well too which some aftermarket kits don't do very good.

I would defintely buy the front end.

Oscar 02-17-04 11:28 AM

I would buy the stuff right away!! When you done it, I´ll pay whatever the shipping to Sweden would be, I guess about $700 or so! It´s the absolutely best looking kit I´ve ever seen!!

Rookie84 02-17-04 11:34 AM

Shit, I'll buy the kit as soon as you start selling em even if I have to go bankrupt!! :D

yes. It is because they are. That body kit is photoshopped, he hasn't made it yet, or so Im assuming. BTW, I agree, best body kit I've seen to date, I'll definately want one.

Tovock 02-17-04 11:37 AM

how are u going to make the lights like that and keep a stock hood? looks like u would have to "change" the hood.. but its a descent photochop and if it actually gets produced cool.. but maybe u should make a note that its a photoshop or in progress as to not get everyones hopes up.. btw was the original pic the enurbi kit.. (or whatever i cant spell)

spaz 02-17-04 11:49 AM

the body kit does look amazing. not tryin to knock it but it kind of reminds me of the toyota celica. but that is the most creative kit that i have seen in a long time for the 7.

Dltreezan 02-17-04 01:26 PM

yeah its a chop obviously, and yes the vents are fake, the whole thing is fake, its what i want to make, and you guys know when i say ima make something i dont play around. The original is from an erebuni. A customer of mine was telling me thats what he was going to buy, and it isnt my taste for sure but i started playing with the pic to see how hard it would be to modify to make the kit i am wanting, and bam there you have it. So my idea is to buy the erebuni kit, fill in the front grills make it all smooth, cut the lower vents and drag them back and angle them, a few more small mods and thats it for the front, as for the back just cut across where that rear whatcha macallit thing is ad add my own underbody difuser. this sides have two gills underneath the moldings which i didnt like so i cut it out and matches it with the corksport fenders i hope to put, so ill have a vent up top and a vent down low. As far as the headlights, it shouldnt be too complicated and i will have a peice that will go back behind them to match, so you wont need a new hood

Dltreezan 02-17-04 01:28 PM

and btw the kti was paintshopped, not photoshopped ;)

Madrx7racer 02-17-04 01:38 PM

awesome kit......I want

Hassell{just had an awesome idea}

crickifur 02-20-04 05:53 AM

Derek,

Your gonna be rich man.... EITHER THAT OR ONE BUSY MAN! I do think that since I am the inspiration for the kit, that I should have the first dibs on a front end and headlight conversion... ;) I already bought the erebuni kit, but hey, what can ya do... Im always up for something new... I cant waite to get this thing rogether though.....

Dltreezan 02-20-04 06:29 AM

lool right now im busy, ill be rich later ;)

604Ryder 02-20-04 07:30 AM

I like the front end of the kit your making Dltreeazn, Very nice work man. anychance of making a front end bodykit that can be used with pop-up headlights? Sorry, but the lights are like a rx-7 trademark and i would never consider changing them :)

DelSlow 02-20-04 09:41 AM

those lights are so badass, even if you dont make the kit, at least make those

Dltreezan 02-20-04 02:36 PM

without the headlightshttps://www.rx7club.com//attachment....postid=2687962

Dltreezan 02-20-04 02:40 PM

looks a lil long nosed IMO, but i think its tight either way, but if i were to do a kit without the light conversion id make a c-west style kit, and guys u know when i say im going to make something im not blowing smoke up your ass

smith88 02-20-04 06:45 PM

did you park in your living room? :p:

I like the lights, and the whole kit.

igottafc 02-20-04 06:51 PM

kinda looks like the wisesports frontbumper. STill very sexy though. I think its the head lights that stand out the most. Very original!!

Dltreezan 02-20-04 07:58 PM

wisesports, hmmm. And yes i think it will turn out very nice and no that isnt my living room and its not built yet.
