Easiest way to gut cats?

What bolts should I remove from the exhaust for easiest precat gutting.

unbolt exhaust after the cat, then hit it with a big hammer. Then start your car and rev the engine. Bolt exhaust back up.

If your doing this for a performance mod, don't bother. It wont be a big difference. Get a proper downpipe to see some real gains. If you doing it cause they're clogged, then that's another story! ;)
