E-Manage Greddy.

Well it is time to go shopping for an aftermarket feul controller and i will be needing timmming control as well so i decided to look into the Greddy e-Manage. it has all of the options but first i would like to know! will it do? for my application of about 350rwhp. this will be the setup.

90 TII S5 Streetported engine
T04 Turbo
1660cc secondary injectors
cold air intake
3inch dp and mp
then down to 2 1/2 inch after the y to performance mufflers (not sure what type)
Apexi BOV

so i am hoping with this setup i will be looking at 350 rwhp

so can anybody tell me if this is the way to go?

You can check the ecu forum for a thread on the e-manage. I asked in here a couple days ago to see if anyone had experience with it but no one seems to yet.

I hope someone decides to read about this and gives me some insight because i really don't have the money to be the first person to learn about this all! as i will have to stretch myself thin as it is to do what i need to do to get my car going good again!

The E-manage will only let you tune the fuel curve in very small increments by yourself. If you want to make anymore adjustments you have to take it to a greddy authorized dealer and svc dept to get it tuned with the special software. No you can not LEGALLY buy the software from greddy or the svc dealer, I am attempting to procure it, but prospects look grim. This product looks really cool, but with what greddy did it makes the company stand out for what they are, a bunch of cock knockers, bunch of punks,

check out this site! if you are looking for the software! and tell me what you know! because i am trying to make a sensible decision about whether it is greddy or apexi!
http://www.mkiv.com/tmp/emanage/
that site should give you all you need to know email them and they can tell you what you need to know! so i hope that helps! please give me any info you can spair on the unit!

I am having trouble believing that you cannot buy they software for a E manage. That is the whole deal about the Emanage that is what makes it like a standalone computer. Every month in Option Magazine they sell all the extra features like speed cut and the software.

Yesterday I seen the software and everything on display at Drivers Stand. Is the US getting screwed? I am shocked that you can't buy this. If they wont sell it to you then I can.

Greddy E-Manage = No Boost Control

If you have a TII, get a Haltec

FYI: I have the E-Manage software on the computer right now. Here's a pic of the layout. I plan to get it whenever I hit that stage, and I have enough $$. Hopefully the layout will become more clear with the e-manage plugged in, as apposed to playing with the software when the computer is "offline"

Funny, there's a Boost Cut Limiter... damn, I need a book or something.

I've heard the boost control fuction on haltechs is not very good to say the least. And I believe thats why I see most people with EBC to go along with the haltech.

This is a MYTH - the software/cable is really pretty easy to buy legally. I bought my E-manage and all the accessories for it from my local performance shop with no problems whatsoever.

That said, the E-manage is a great, powerful, and VERY flexible product. I'm dying to get my car on the road so I can actually use the thing :).

If any of you are interested in more on the E-manage, there is a Yahoo! Groups mailing list I started for the E-manage - it's not a model-specific group, and the group consists of DSM, Supra, 240sx, and RX-7 guys primarily. The address is http://groups.yahoo.com/emanage

On the boost controller thing - IMHO, if you want to do a job, get the tool for the job, don't use a Swiss army knife. The Haltech's boost control feature is horrible - even die-hard Haltech guys have given up on it. The good thing is you can pick the best boost controller for your needs and skill level. You'll be prying my AVC-R from my cold, dead fingers :)

Dale
