Dyno results 90TII
Dyno results 90TII
Well I was able to get my car tuned this past weekend by Matt "Hitman" as he made a stop in Atlanta. I feel very fortunate that I was able to make the trip up there to get him to tune the car. The car was able to put down 308rwhp. I am pretty happy with that number, although I was hoping for more. But Matt informed me that my hotside was way to small I am running .75A/R and you can see by the dyno chart that it is just not able to push the air through the turbo. He told me that I should get at least a .96 if not a 1.15 and that should put me well into the high 300's.
I have had the haltech on the car for a few months now and it has been very nice. But the car is absolutely a new machine now. it drives better then it ever did stock, or atleast if feels that way. The power is very impressive, and took me by suprise the first time I punched it on the interstate doing 80 in 4th. The car just took off towards the horizon. Even though the graph shows the power dropping off after 6000rpm the car pulls very hard all the way to 8000. It was quite impressive to see Matt tune the car, I definetly learned quite a bit.
My Friend that was there with me, dyno'ed his FC after Matt tuned it and was able to put down 410rwhp he is running a slightly larger 60-1 turbo than I am as well as the largest greddy FMIC. If his alternator had been up to the task of supplying enough spark above 15psi he could have gone to about 19 which would have given him some really nice numbers.
We have video and pics from while we were there and on the way home. The ride home video is very nice from what I hear, I have yet to see it. I will post as soon as I get it digitized.

yeah.. currently I am only running a single belt, I haven't noticed it slipping but that doesn't mean that it isn't a little. I really need to look into getting a dual pulley for the alternator.
Yes I am using the HKS cast manifold currently.

Jay,
Nice you see your numbers! And your car looks great. I'd love to have Matt tune my car now that I have the Haltech, guess I' need to see when he's in my area. Sent you a PM a while back, give me a shout.

Sorry guys, I didn't even realize that I had cut off the rpm range when i took a pic of the dyno sheet. I am getting teh whole thing scanned in this weekend. Yes the wideband is mounted to the car, I run it all the time. Not really necessary, but once you have run one in the car it is hard to take it out.

Am I seeing It wrong? The wideband control box looks like It's mounted to the right fender. Unless, It's an accessory to It.
