Dumb pilot bearing question

Sorry for the dumb question. but i am swapping from auto to 5spd and have the trans out at the moment. There is no pilot bearing or some other bearing to switch from the auto trans? Just put the new one in and good to go? Thanks for help

Yes the automatic doesn't have a pilot bearing. You may need to order the seal though. They don't usually come in the clutch kit. Don't use too much grease or it may ooze out and get on the clutch/flywheel.

You have to buy a pilot bearing and pilot bearing seal. That's all there is to it. :-)

the seal isn't really a necessity, they only last about 5k miles before they get destroyed anyways and can possibly damage the bearing when it starts failing. i don't install a seal on the pilot bearings.
